History: 75 years ago, The Georgian Uprising on Texel came to an end. One of the final battles of WW2 that started on the 5th of April, 1945 and ended 2 weeks after Germany's official surrender. By the end 812 Germans, 564 Georgians and 120 Dutch lost their lives before Canadian troops arrived [428x418]
