History: Enrico Toti, an Italian railway worker who cycled from Italy to Finland and Russia after losing a leg in a workplace accident. During World War I he volunteered in the Italian Army until he was killed in action in August 1916, throwing his crutch at the Austrians before dying. [586 x 942]
