History: The RAF's top-scoring fighter pilot, Wing Commander James 'Johnnie' Johnson, with his Spitfire and pet Labrador Sally in Normandy, July 1944. Johnson was credited with 34 individual victories over enemy aircraft. Following WWII, he served in the Korean War before retiring in 1966 [1563 x 2501].
