Here we are, the apex of another season, down to the wire as six teams stand in the balance, their postseason fate uncertain.First, the Tigers try to avoid being swept by the Twins, if they succeed they own the AL Central title and the Royals will be a wild card. If not, the Royals have a chance to win today to force game 163 for the division title!The Pirates also have their division up for grabs, if they win then the pressure is on the Cardinals to prevent a tie breaker gave. If they lose, however, or the Cards win, the Buccos take the wild card and the Cardinals will face the Dodgers in the division series.Finally, the late afternoon finishes find the Mariners fighting for a chance for a play in for the second wild card spot. The Allergies currently hold a one game lead, so an Oakland loss coupled with a Mariners win will see a play-in game between the division rivals before the one game wild card play-off.All the postseason action will have game threads hosted here for neutral spectators as well as having threads at the respective teams subreddits. A reminder that rule restrictions on content continue to be in effect until the end of the world series before off season rules apply.
