History: German Airship SL-11 goes down with all hands over Cuffley, England, 3 September 1916. Shot down by 2nd Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson of the 39th Home Guard Squadron, it was the first airship downed over British soil during WWI [OS][1175 x 1772].
